• Séarlait was the only child of a bored housewife who quickly rebranded herself into a mummy-blogger. Pretty, and not at all concerned with posting millions of pictures of her and her family on the internet, the blog gained some tractions, and a column in a magazine was born. When the famous started to get implanted, she quickly signed herself - and an 8 year old Séarlait up.
• The Keane family were an early adopter of not only the implant, but of vlogging, and Searlait’s childhood was uploaded for all to see on youtube. This continued post fall and as she grew, Séarlait became something akin to her mother’s manager despite being a teen, taking care of the logistical side of things while her mother was the creative, putting their perfect life out for all to consume.
• When Séarlait’s chip began to fail at age 24, the videos she was editing and uploading for her mother were seen through a different lens, and old videos revisited, the fact that she was only ever a commodity to her family realised for the first time. It was this realisation that prevented her from getting her chip fixed, because she could no longer trust her family so she couldn’t trust the chip they had chosen for her. She pretended to still be veiled in Galway for a time, secretly building up supplies before one day disappearing.
• Coming from a fairly luxurious life, life on the run didn’t really suit Séarlait but stubbornness and determination won out and she kept going, scavenging not only necessities but luxury items for herself. It was on one of her scavenging trips that she ran into a Dislinked Supplies team, competing for the same resources. Someone noticed her scrappiness and she was recruited. She only required a short stint in Nelson, achieving the appearance of emotional stability easy for the girl who struggled with identifying or showing strong emotions.
• She joined the ship, and the supplies team, at age 27. By 31 she was head of the department, something she’s annoyed about because she was aiming for 30. She’s coming up on 9 years with the resistance, and yes, she does use her job to make sure she has access to the best stuff/has the best stuff to trade but she is also good at her job so she gets away with it. If there's something you want, there's a chance she has it in her secret stash.
